Cask 1565 slumbered in a dark corner of Ardbeg warehouse 3 until it was rediscovered there. The whisky was distilled on May 23, 2000. For the finish, the creation was embedded with the greatest care in a former Oloroso sherry cask, which gave the smoky component a subtle sweetness. The Cask 1565 was only bottled in 2022 and shows a rich intensity.
